Gippsland Water Case Study
National Drones has been working with Gippsland Water to explore ways in which maintenance inspection times can be reduced and greater insights can be gained into major asset condition via remote aerial image survey, thermal imaging and Normalised Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) analysis.
What were some of the challenges, solutions and results?
“The ROS trial allowed us to identify ROS channel issues that required attention. Early detection resulted in significant maintenance cost savings. Gippsland Water is reviewing this, and other aerial survey applications that can integrate with our asset register to improve data quality and realise time/cost savings.”
